Making the world's first super-capacitor powered dash cam
In 2011, the majority of dash cams available relied on built-in batteries, which posed safety risks due to overheating. To address this issue, VIOFO introduced the G1W-C, the first dash cam powered by a super capacitor. At that time, dash cams were quite large and utilized bulky suction mounts, making them easily noticeable. In response, we launched the compact and discreet A118C dash cam in 2013.

Since our inception, we have been at the forefront of dash cam innovation, introducing the world's first Dual Sony Starvis 2 powered dash cams with the A229 Plus/Pro and the groundbreaking triple Sony Starvis 2 powered dash cams with the A329S/T/SW.
